30th may - 19 years old

Well, I must say I had a memorable birthday this year...

At approx 12:10am my doorbell rang and standing right at my doorstep in the wee hours was dwayne, charlene, cheryl, ah bao and jojo with a giant sized cookie! What a surprise visit when I was just about to fall asleep. It was really sweet of them to drop by. Thank you guys! It means a lot to me.

Had a birthday breakfast with mum at our favourite swiss bakery along frankel.
It was pretty funny though, my mum was wearing this white day dress from armani and i was decked out in a orange striped boss short sleeve shirt with white denims - we looked as though we were a part of hugo boss/armani's ad campaign for spring/summer collection. so style.

After which we went to visit ps daph at cgh, thank god that everything went smoothly for her and only a "key hole" operation procedure was required - rest well ps daph!

Met up with shasha for lunch at raffles city at this spiffy looking restaurant by the fountain. If I remember correctly, it has been a year since I have last met up with her. It was definitely refreshing, yet nostalgic. No doubt we havent talked for a long time but it just seemed like yesterday we were hanging out so often. Yet we both changed so much - our environments and present circumstances , social life and all. We had a great time chatting and catching up. =)

By the time I got down to east coast park showered and freshened up it was about 4 plus. There was a xyq bs outing/activity by the beach that day from morning till night... By then those who kayaked were almost done and I couldnt join them. Oh well. Hung around till about seven before rushing down to raffles city area again to meet jeremy for dinner. Loved the food at minotti.

It was planned to go to the Loof for a drink with jeremy but due to several reasons we ended up joining kok wei, jeremy tay and peeps at zouk since it was mambo jambo night and the next day was a public holiday. Oh man. the queue, or rather the swarm of people stuck outside zouk was really scary. Never have I seen soo many people as though it was NDP or something. But thanks to jorg we by passed all the queues and entered the place so quickly - I felt as though I was some vip. The wonders of priority entry. =) Cos it was mambo jambo night, zouk attracted quite a huge crowd of gay men there. Or so I think. It was rather amusing that the crowd was split into two, one the straight people and the other the not straight ones - the straight congregation seemed pretty stiff whereas on the other camp, it was wild! comparatively speaking. Of course, after a while we went over to the gay area. Anyway though as first hesistant and a little worried due to unfamiliarity, I pretty much enjoyed myself that night. Ok, not pretty much, alot! =) After which jeremy kokwei and me went for a quick supper nearby.

Reached home at 4 plus and I was working full shift the next day. I have no idea how I managed to stay awake at work but I did.
What a birthday!
